Dear friends,
we’re always working to improve our service, and we want to share an important update about how we store historical records for email verification jobs.
As you may know, when a verification job is deleted - either manually through our API or client area, or automatically based on your data retention settings - we immediately remove all related entries from our platform: this includes the email addresses that were processed and their verification results. Until now, however, the job reference itself (including any optional settings, the job name you assigned, and the originating IP address of the submission) has continued to appear in your account history to help you keep track of past lists.
While this has been useful for many customers, we’ve identified potential conflicts with data protection regulations around the world and, to ensure full compliance we are making changes to how long these records are stored and what data they contain.
What’s changing on October 27th, 2025
Starting on this date, we will:
- remove job names from deleted jobs, regardless of their content;
- anonymize the originating IP addresses of deleted jobs, replacing them with
0.0.0.0; - store historical job references for a maximum of 24 months, instead of indefinitely.
After 24 months, the historical job reference will be permanently removed from our systems.
Do I need to do anything?
No action is required on your part: these updates will be applied automatically.
